A lot of women are crazy about attaining the perfect figure.
We starve ourselves with the latest diet fads.
We buy into celebrity fitness routines.
Some women even go down a more dangerous route, buying dubious pills from unscrupulous sellers, hoping to get rid of unwanted body fat.
One of the latest fads involves the use of fitness belts to help with one of women’s top target spots—the belly.
Fitness belts are not the corsets of historical times, which are uncomfortable as heck and even pose a viable danger to the wearer. Instead, these belts are a lot more flexible and comfortable.
Unlike corsets and waist trainers, they are designed not to cinch the waist and restrict blood flow to vital organs but to help you retain body heat and act as some sort of a sauna to help you lose the tummy flabs.
One of the fitness belts making waves online is the Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer. You have probably read about it online. It certainly has quite a following.
Although the name can be misleading, it is more of a fitness belt than a waist trainer. Otherwise, I would not even consider reviewing it.
But does it really work?
Let me break down the Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer in this review so I can give you a good idea of what it is and what you can expect from it.
The main function of a waist trainer or corset is to cinch the abdominal area to give the impression of a smaller waist. In the past, these corsets were made with steel boning and laced up to dizzying degrees of tightness.
This is not only uncomfortable but can be dangerous.
Squeezing yourself into a waist trainer might make your waist look smaller temporarily but they can also displace your floating ribs (ouch!), cut off air and circulation to vital organs (whoa!), and displace your abdominal organs (as if the previous two weren’t terrifying enough!).
Using it regularly could not only result in pain but organ damage and failure as well.
I don’t know about you but the payoff doesn’t exactly look good.
However, despite its rather misleading name, the Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer is NOT a waist trainer or corset.
It’s actually a fitness belt. It does not have the stiff boning or the unnecessarily tight laces that are the trademark of waist trainers.
It works in a completely different way and offers different benefits.
Otherwise, I wouldn’t even dream of reviewing it here.
According to the "http://www.sweet-sweat-premium-waist-trimmer.com/" , the Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trainer works by cushioning, compressing, and supporting your lower back and abdominal muscles while retaining therapeutic body heat.
Theoretically, this will make your tummy sweat a lot more and help you to get rid of the muffin tops and love handles.
The company claims that this will significantly impact your midsection in 30 days.
Now that we have clarified that this is actually a fitness belt and not a corset of waist trainer, let’s get down to the review.

The Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer is made of thermal, latex-free neoprene, a sort of synthetic rubber. It is the same material that is used in modern sauna suits and has excellent heat-retention abilities.
The grid inner lining is designed to repel moisture, as well as prevent slipping and bunching during intensive workouts.
The Velcro closure also makes it adjustable to a certain degree.
The borders are a little thick with pretty secure stitching.
Overall, the materials used in the making of this fitness belt are of excellent quality and showed no signs of fraying or falling apart even after repeated use.
This fitness belt is pretty comfortable and soft. It is quite flexible and does not interfere with movements even during high-intensity exercises.
It also does not slip or bunch, thanks to the grid inner lining.
There is, however, a slight issue with sweat draining at the bottom of the belt as the inner lining is quite effective at repelling moisture and keeping the abdominal area dry.
The Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer is available in 5 sizes with a handy size chart so you can estimate what size to purchase online.
It also comes with a Velcro closure, which allows you to adjust it to a certain degree. You might find this feature useful, when you start shaving inches from your waistline. After all, it can be quite a hassle, not to mention wasteful, if you have to purchase a new belt every now and then.
The Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer is made of neoprene, which is known for its excellent heat retention. However, the grid inner lining is also designed to repel moisture.
As the heat grows within the area of the belt, sweat will accumulate on your skin and eventually drain through the bottom of the belt. This sweat buildup can cause skin irritation, which may manifest as redness or a nasty rash in the area.
Those who are also allergic to neoprene should also keep away from this as it is one of the major components of this fitness belt.
The Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trainer is not that expensive, compared to say sauna suits. However, it is quite pricy for a fitness belt.
I find that the Sweet Sweat Waist Trimmer does what it was designed to do—it provides some support and cushioning while retaining body heat.
Regarding the sweat, it does make you sweat a lot more from the heat, I guess. You can practically feel the lot of it pooling at the bottom of the belt.
However, the weight loss and difference in waistline was not particularly significant and may be due more to exercise than the fitness belt itself.
The Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer is a fitness belt of excellent quality. The belt itself is crafted well with thick borders and pretty secure stitching. Even after repeated use in intensive exercises, it shows no signs of fraying or falling apart.
Made of latex-free neoprene, it effectively traps body heat and allows your abdominal area to sweat more than you usually will with the same level of activity.
It is also quite comfortable and does not restrict your movements in the least. The grid inner lining also helps to keep the belt in place.
However, it fails to deliver in terms of weight loss and shaving inches of your waistline.
If you are looking for some sort of magical pill or device that will take care of tummy woes, then I hate to break it to you but this is not it.In reality, there are no studies as of now to support spot reduction.
Even if there are a lot of exercises all over the Internet that tell you that it will effectively cure your love handles or take care of chunky thighs—trust me, they won’t.
Concentrating your exercises on a certain area of your body only serves to build up the muscles involved in that particular exercise. It will not magically make the fat in that area disappear.
To take care of the fat, you still need to exert more effort in maintaining a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and the right fat-burning exercises.
In the same way, I suppose that using a fitness belt like the Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer will not truly help you achieve a jaw-dropping waistline and bikini-worthy body in as little as 30 days.
Have you used the Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer, too? What other fitness belts have you used aside from this one? What are your thoughts on the Sweet Sweat Premium Waist Trimmer and other fitness belts? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
